The Value of Editors

Paul Muckley, our senior editor of non-fiction at Barbour, passed along a link to a great article this morning. So, I thought I'd share it here, too. "How to Measure the Value of Editors"

Can you imagine being part of writing and editing The Declaration of Independence? We sure had some brilliant forefathers of our country!

Great post. I think part of the problem (leading to the devaluaiton of editors) is that many people have come to view editors as a form of authority.

I can't imagine wanting my book to go out without editing. I feel so much more confident knowing that if it passes muster for Rachel and Aaron, it's the best I can do at that time in my career.

Thanks so much, Erica! Your writing makes the editing job much easier!

I would love to have my writing editted. It is hard to find a way in. Any Suggestions?
