Well, I’ll follow Becky’s lead from Tuesday as it seems like I have not much else to talk about except all the snow! And there are nasty rumors floating around that we might be in for another several inches with a possible new storm early next week. But I’m in denial, and I’m thinking pleasant thoughts of warm spring days to come soon (I hope?)! Never mind how soggy—likely even flooded—the ground will be after all these white mounds melt....
I have plenty to keep me busy during this snowed in time, though. When I’m not working, I’m trying to keep my active, two-and-half-year-old Jodi occupied with fun indoor activities. We made Jello Jigglers for the first time the other day, much to Jodi’s delight. She refuses to actually eat them, but she loves to “juggle” them as she says. We’ve also been finger painting, making cookies and cupcakes, playing with Play-Do, swinging away on the swing Doug put up for Jodi in our basement, and digging in “Rice Beach” down there, too (dry rice in an inflatable baby pool). I also have a house to pack up, as we bought a new one and are moving in the next few weeks. It’s only about 5 minutes away from where we are now but is bigger with a great fenced-in backyard for our growing family. We are so excited and thankful for the way God provided. Oh yes, and I’m having a new baby sometime in the next six weeks or so. Whew! I'm so thankful my parents and Doug's parents live close by to help!
I’ve been busily working ahead so things will hopefully run smoothly with Heartsong while I’m off on maternity leave. For the most part I have my schedule of planned contracts full clear through the summer. I have content and copy edits scheduled way in advance with my freelance editors so that I can just quickly move things along during my time off. It feels good to be getting things done ahead of time. A good friend of mine recently had her second baby six weeks early; and thankfully her baby boy is home and doing great, but their experience has motivated me to get things done sooner than later!
Hmmm…turns out I had a little more talk about than just snow after all! I hope you all are staying warm, dry, and sane if you’re snowed under in your area, too.

Jodi is looking so grown up! And beautiful. :)
I'm sure she's going to make a wonderful big sister, too.
I know it looks and feels like spring somewhere, but I wish it would hurry up and feel like it here, too. Thankfully, no snow in the forecast, though. Hoping you don't get any either.
We're staying busy here watching the Olympics and dreaming about spring. We've set records for how much snow we've had and how much is lingering.
We've got a little snow in the forecast for the weekend.
Happy moving. Let everyone else carry the boxes for you. :)
I'm enjoying the Winter Olympics from a rather warm Houston. It's nice not to be burried under a heap of the white fluff.
She is SOOO cute!! What beautiful hair. Very angelic.
I'm hoping for sunshine. I'd just be happy with a little bit of that ;-)
Wow! What cute pictures of Jodi! Thanks for sharing! We've had record-breaking snowfall over here in Maryland - over 30 inches of the white stuff! I'm not sure if we're going to get more or not!
Wow, JoAnne! You seem so calm about the move. I'm so impressed with your oh-by-the-way-I-have-to-pack-the-house-to-move-before-the-baby-comes-in-six-weeks. I'd be in hyper-mode.
Little Jodi is so cute and it's great she's having so much fun with you. These are precious years.
And Cecelia, I'm sure if the snow hits in the Ohio Valley on Monday, it will come your way. It usually does. We're such a sharing people. :-)

Aren't you having another girl? Is that right? I have a lot of prego friends, and I'm getting everyone mixed up. :)
Anyway, my oldest girls were 2 1/2 years apart in age. It was such a wonderful, blessed time. Now they're 18 & 16 and sometimes I miss those sweet babies...even though they are wonderful young ladies. You will have so much fun in the coming weeks, months, and years. :)
What a cutie Jodi is. You are so organized. I can't imagine having a 2 1/2 year old, another coming in the next six weeks, moving, and working.
I think we're done with snow in Arkansas and I'm so glad to see it go. The most we had at one time was 7 inches and that probably makes everyone with 13 and up want to scream at me for complaining. But AR doesn't usually get over an inch, maybe two, so it was really jarring for us.
Thanks for the comments, everyone! Some days I feel like I could easily work myself into hyper-mode, but I'm trying my best to just stay relaxed, go with the flow, accept help from family and friends, and let God keep me sane during what I could let be an incredibly stressful time. I keep repeating this great scripture: "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
I know worrying about how to get everything done in time doesn't do any good. Just doing it with God's help and trusting He'll give me the time, energy, patience, etc. is what works! :)
She was doing some cooking there, I believe she didn't like that on her hands.

Cute pictures of precious Jodi! She's at such a fun age--keep enjoying this special time! ~ Prayers for a smooth move and "baby delivery"- - I also am impressed by how well you're handling everything. *smile*
Blessings, Patti Jo :)
Thanks for the new pics of Jodi! What a precious doll!
