Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm taking off tomorrow and Monday for Thanksgiving celebration.

Over the river and through the woods to my sister's house we go.

I pray your holiday is full of blessings.

Take some time to list those God-given, non-material things that you have to be thankful for, because those are what matter most to this short life.

I'm the most grateful for chances--for the chance to explore what I can do, for the chance to see what my children can do, for the chance to have known what love is all about.

And, above all, for the chance to know our Savior.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful
for love and laughter,
family and friends.

I'm thankful
for all the things
God lends...

to me and mine,
during our time
on this earth.

But most of all,
I'm thankful for
the gift of His call
to Heaven afar.

I'm thankful harvest is over. And it was a bountiful one. My husband has been working so hard. I keep hugging him and telling him it's nice to have him back. And he agrees. He survived another one. Such hard work.

I'm thankful for my daughters, two married now to fine young men. They are more than the sum of their father and me and I marvel at what lovely, bright, honorable young women they've become.

I'm thankful almost beyond words that I got a book published and that's grown to more books. Such a blessing and Barbour is such a great home for me.
Thank you Becky, Susan and JoAnne. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Blogger isn't big enough to hold all my thanks.

I'm thankful that when I woke up this morning and looked outside it had SNOWED. Just a little, I can still see the green grass under it, but that white icing on the world was a beautiful surprise.

I'm thankful for health. Kristy Dyke's recent health trouble has reminded me that I take health for granted too much.

And I'm so, so, so thankful God is there in sickness and in health. How do people handle life's tough problems without faith? I know how they handle them...badly.
Thank you God for being there all the time, for lifes gifts and blessings and for your comfort during times of sorrow.

I'm thankful for so many things, but especially thankful to have my husband in one piece after a car accident on Monday. He was rear-ended by a speeding car that actually (if you can believe this) totaled our big F-150 4X4 Super Crew truck. My husband has whiplash and we are in the process of dealing with insurance and getting a new truck.

Praise God for His protection.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
