More about Jodi!

Hello from my living room, where it sure looks like a baby lives here now! The whole place is bursting with diapers, wipes, onesies, burp cloths, and on and on. The poor dog doesn't know where to sit!

Jodi is doing great, but is having a fussy day. Yay for Grandma being here to help out!

Okay, I'll admit it. I am tired and a little overwhelmed by all this new responsibility. But mostly I am completely in love with this new little person and overjoyed at the honor of being Jodi's mom. I can't imagine our lives without her. She is such a little miracle and is so incredibly beautiful, if I do say so myself. :)

We had so much fun telling our families and friends her name, and all the thought that went behind picking it. "Jo" is for her mommy, the "d" is for Doug, her daddy, and the "ilyn" is for her two grandmas who are both named Marilyn. "Kristine" is after one of my very best friends from college who is beautiful, brilliant, compassionate, and knows and loves Jesus. I hope Jodi grows up to be a lot like her. "Kristine" also means "follower of Christ" and that is my fervent prayer for Jodi and has been since the day I learned I was pregnant--that she will come to know Jesus as early as possible and that Doug and I will do everything we can to point her to Him.

I'll leave you with some pictures of my sweet baby girl! Happy weekend!

HI Joanne, Jodi is beautiful! What a blessing!I loved reading how you chose her name.

It can feel overwhelming at first with all the changes and all their is to learn, but it gets easier. You will soon feel even more confident and relaxed. She looks very healthy. You are doing a great job!

Blessings,

Ahh. Sniff. She's so sweet. I adore babies. Wish I could hold her. I'd even be willing to walk her when she fusses. Remember the first rule for new moms--sleep when baby sleeps. Always.

love and prayers,
Linda

JoAnne, she is such a doll. Not just cute but a really beautiful little girl.
Thanks for telling us about her name.
Are you SURE you can't come to the ACFW conference? Lots of experienced moms on this loop. We could help you take care of her. :)

She's gorgeous, JoAnne, and we're all so happy for you. Congratulations again and again! Kathleen and I did a little "baby shopping" the other day, so expect a package soon. In the meantime, spoil that little baby rotten. - Janice T.
