Heartsong Availability & Updated States List

Some questions have come up recently about when Heartsong books become available for sale in stores and other venues, so I will post about it here to hopefully clear that up.

All Heartsongs release to our Heartsong Presents club members and through the Heartsong website first. Our members receive a shipment of the latest four Heartsongs every four weeks, two contemporary and two historical. Or, if they are fans of just one of those genres, they can receive just the contemporary stories or just the historical ones.

Heartsongs do not become available outside of the book club or Heartsong website until about 8-10 months later when they are advertised in our catalog, available twelve at a time every three months.

For example, club members are about to receive Heartsongs 749-752, but those won’t be available through our catalog until March 2008.

Hope that makes sense!

In other Heartsong news, I’ve updated my available states list. Here are the states I'm still open to submissions for:

Thanks for the info and update, JoAnne. I've got a couple more questions. There's no rush on the answer so you can make them future blog posts if you want.
1) I'm getting requests for Golden Days and 'where can I buy it' Can they order it through www.heartsongpresents.com now or will that also be a wait?
2) I've just registered for the ACFW conference in September and I'm supposed to have books there for sale. Do I buy them from you and bring them? Or does Barbour handle that? I have one now with Heartsong and Barbour Trade Fiction. Either is fine, I just need to know.

JoAnne,
Thanks for explaining the process for those of us wondering, and for the list of states -- I think I have some vacation spots in mind now for this year, tee hee. Would that be tax deductible?
