New Life

It's Good Friday, a day to remember the death of Jesus Christ and how he suffered for us. Thankfully it didn't end there. I'm so glad we can rejoice in the fact that Jesus overcame death and rose again so that we could have new life in Him, too! There's no better reason to celebrate!

Though nothing tops the celebration of our Living Savior, I do have a couple of other great reasons to celebrate this Easter, as well. One is remembering how a wonderful, godly man named Doug asked me to be his wife on Easter morning 2004. He surprised me with a diamond ring tied around the neck of a Boyd's Bunny and hidden in my Easter basket. What fun we had going to church that day and sharing our news!

This Easter we are also celebrating a new little life God has given us. We are having a baby girl! She is due in August, and so far, she is doing great. Everything seems healthy and normal and I have been feeling great, too. Praise God!
