Today is Becky Germany’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Becky! She’s taking a couple vacation days for a nice long weekend, so let’s post a zillion birthday wish comments for her to see when she gets back next week!
Also today, my little Jodi-bear is 19 months old! Not really a big milestone, but I’ll use it as an excuse to post a couple pictures of the two of us on our first trip to Build-A-Bear a couple of weeks ago. :)
Finally, I received some mail this week from a reader named Sarah who sent in her feedback form for Sandhill Dreams by Cara Putman, saying she had enjoyed it “very much.” Sarah said she’s not a member of Heartsong but in answer to the question “Where did you purchase this book?” Sarah wrote, “My grandma gave it to me for Christmas.” On the back of the form I saw that Sarah marked her age as 16. I smiled a big smile over how that truly represents the wide audience we reach with Heartsongs, and I’m so glad Sarah’s grandma felt one of our Heartsongs was a worthy gift for her teenage granddaughter.

And thanks for posting that, JoAnne. It's always fun to get that kind of feedback. I was going through a box of books my mom brought out last week, books I collected when I was a teenager. I think some of them are the first Heartsongs -- probably before they were called that. They're 2 in 1 volumes with stories by Colleen Reece. Fun!
Thanks. I had a great birthday weekend. Instead of cake I ate blackberry cobber with vanilla ice cream along with my family this year.
