Congratulations on a Christy Award Nomination!

Congratulations to Mary Connealy on her Christy Award nomination for Calico Canyon (book 2 in the Lassoed in Texas series). She shares the Historical Romance category nominations with Tamera Alexander and Pamela Binnings Ewen. The winners will be announced at ICRS in July.

Mary actually got a heads-up on this announcement on her birthday (March 20). Nominations were officially announced at CBE on March 21.

Way to go, Mary!

I'm so excited for Mary. Calico Canyon was easily the best book I read in all of 2008.

It couldn't happen to a nicer gal!

It was so exciting to see Mary floating around CBE after that announcement was made. I am so happy for her and all those at Barbour who helped with her book. We are cheering for you, Mary! : )

Ah, Erica, now you've gone and made me cry!@!!

thanks so much Cecelia.

Janet, you too.l

Nancy, I KNEW you couldn't leave a comment without mice. I'd have been disappointed if you had.

Tha's Patti Jo, it was indeed a fantastic husband sent me flowers in Dallas, too.

Carrie it was so great to see you. I was floating a little...but not enough to keep me from having sore feet doing all that extra walking at Book Expo.
So fun to see other writers and all the Barbour folks.

I spent quite a bit of time with Mary at CBE, and I'm very proud of her. She's the first of the people I've mentored who've been nominated for a Christy. Woo!! Hoo!!! Mary!!!!!
