Please keep the family of Kristy Dykes in your prayers. She passed away last night after a long battle with brain cancer. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
Can you possibly post an address so we can send cards and/or flowers? Many of us only knew Kristy from her blog or through her writing, but we would like to send condolences to her family.
Kristy was a phenomenal woman of God. I met her for the first time a few years back at the ACFW conference. What a bubble of joy, greeting everyone. Though it is terribly sad for the family, I am SO glad she is with God and no longer suffering.
I saw this when I opened my email this morning. And the next email was the Verse of the Week Martha Rogers always sends through the ACFW loop. It fit some perfectly. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light.”

Kristy was loved by so many people who will miss her. I'm thankful I had the opportunity to know her and spend time in her joyful earthly presence.
