Early Spring?. . .

. . .Punxsutawney Phil and Buckeye Chuck said so. I sure hope they’re right! You wouldn’t think so with the steady snow falling right now and the subzero temperatures coming our way. I’m wishing I could hibernate all weekend. Or better yet, head someplace tropical.

But I’ll try to patiently wait for spring, whether the groundhogs get it right or not. And I’ll remind myself that the snow is really pretty, and I’m blessed to have a warm, dry place to work and go home to—even if there aren’t palm trees waving outside my window.

I think I need a little Bible boost to beat the winter blues. Maybe you need this encouragement today, too, even if you’ve heard it a million times before. Whether you’re shivering up north or soaking in sunshine down south, no matter what you’re going through, read these words from Paul in Philippians and make them your own. I know I need to!

“Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:11-13 NLT

'I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.' I need that today.
I'm off for my first book signing and I'm trying to just stay in denial, think about something else. It'll be fine. It's not like I'm in DANGER really, like war.
Still, I'm nervous but I can do it. I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.
Thanks Joanne.

Come visit me in South Africa! Tropical weather, fresh fruit, and swimming! Can't beat that. :-)
